Thomas Halverson

Lordship Historian

Growing up in Lordship, Tom played baseball for the Lordship Giants Little League team as well as playground teams.

He was one of the few students to go from Kindergarten through 8th grade at Our Lady of Peace School, and was in the last graduating class. He was also an altar boy in 7th and 8th grade and now ushers at 11:00 mass at Our Lady of Peace Church.

Tom is also a long-time member of the Lordship Fathers Club (LFC), and he and his father were the first father and son Presidents of the LFC. He is currently the LFC's President.

Tom is the proud father of Denise, Diana, Stephania and Christine, and grandfather of Cody, Dakota, Thomas and Delaney.

A 1975 Stratford High grad, he earned his management degrees at Central Connecticut State University (B.S.) and the University of Bridgeport (M.B.A.).

Tom has spent his entire career in purchasing for Sikorsky, Textron Lycoming, Voltarc Technologies, Bruckner Supply and Moore Tool. He is currently back at Sikorsky as a Purchasing Specialist in the Avionics group.

Fascinated by the history stories in the Lordship Directories, Tom started working on collecting pictures and stories about Lordship. After working on the project for three years, he had enough to construct a website dedicated to the history of our community. On April 15, 2008, Tom created and launched the History of Lordship website, which is available online at To date, over 61,200 individuals from 170 different countries have viewed the website. The most popular pages remain Stratford Point, Gustave Whitehead and Captain Kidd stories.

He is always looking for additional stories and photos, so please contact him if you have a bit of Lordship history.
