Carol Bonney Roche is happy to call Lordship her home since 1979 after marrying Dave Roche who had longtime ties to the Lordship Summer community.

Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UConn with a concentration in Graphic Design, Carol started her career in nearby Westport - at first The Weston Group and then Marketing Corporation of America. This was ‘BC”… Before Computers and Before Children!

Doing freelance design and finally back to school to learn the new technology, Carol still loved hand lettering the most.

Although never having taken a single painting class, she dabbled in painting watercolors, acrylics and more recently paint markers.

Just for fun, the beautiful whelk shells found along the shore in Lordship (without live animals inside, of course), became her canvas.

Always creating, photographing nature and enjoying being a grandmother, life is good.
