Vickie has enjoyed living in Lordship with her husband, Tom, since 2001, raising their two daughters, Margaux and Dolly, and now strolling to the beach with her salty English Bulldog, Viola.

 

An attorney, Vickie recently retired from American International Group, Inc. where she worked as Claims Manager in the Corporate Insurance Department, overseeing the US

Casualty program and seeking insurance recoveries for international Financial Lines claims. This included everything from global Director and Officer, Employment Practices and Error and Omissions claims, to domestic employee injuries and automobile accidents.

 

A favorite part of her job was participating in risk assessments for employee volunteer fundraising activities, such as the Chicago Polar Plunge, a European bike marathon, and office tower climbs to the more creative, but nonviable proposals, like making managers bungee jump from sky scrapers.

 

Vickie’s volunteer service over the years has included serving as a Girl Scout leader, a court appointed child advocate/guardian-ad-litem with Children in Placement and providing pro bono appeal assistance with the Veterans Assistance Project-City Bar Justice Center in New York City. She authored, "The Docket: Year 1808," for the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society journal, Connecticut Supreme Court History, Volume III (2008).

 

Happy now to savor Lordship 7 days a week, as LIA President Vickie works toward community engagement and enhancement balanced with preserving Lordship’s amazing natural resources.
