Enjoy Sunny, Jazzy ART IN THE PARK This Saturday in Lordship
This Saturday (Oct. 3) enjoy a sunny, jazzy walk through ART IN THE PARK – the annual exhibition of dozens of the region’s talented artists and craftpersons, from 10 am to 3 pm, at Greg Ackley Memorial Park (the gazebo, across from Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road).
The booths will offer original fine paintings, prints, photographs, handmade jewelry, wreaths, sea glass and shell creations, handmade baskets and bags, uniquely designed Halloween clothing, pottery, blown glass, and quality food and drink mixes.
The Lordship Father’s Club is sponsoring two musical performances at the gazebo. A jazz quartet of Stratford High School current and recently graduated students will perform from 10 to 11:30 am, followed by Larry Haddad and his quartet from noon to 3 pm.
Event organizer Pat Marqua adds that the Arts Alliance of Stratford will host a creativity station. And there will be a table for the collection of non-perishable food for a local food pantry, plus booths sponsored by Bags for Paws (Stratford Animal Rescue Society) and the Stratford Volunteer Fire Department’s 2026-2027 Lordship Phone & Business Directory.
“Ty-East Tha ArtTist will do live painting,” Pat adds.
Also visit the Lordship Improvement Association (LIA) table to browse the awesome photos and art in the LIA’s 2027 ‘Lordship for All Seasons’ community calendar. Your purchase funds the care and maintenance of the Lordship Bluffs and Russian beach by the LIA, plus nine community gardens and other projects.
Sun is forecast for the day, but just in case, the rain date is Sunday, Oct. 4.

Note: Just around the corner, at the Lordship Community Church, 179 Prospect Drive, you can also enjoy the annual Apple Fest & Vendor Fair this Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm.
See you there!

Great descriptive writeup. Saturday will be a day with back to back energizing events in Lordship.
I wonder why, when I get the emails introducing writeups of LIA events, they come in giant text displayed in a vertical format? That format is not easy to read. Could there be just a link to the piece as it appears in normal format in the online LIA Blog?
