The gazebo at Lordship’s Ackley Memorial Park sparkles again after a recent scrubbing by the LIA’s garden crew, which also cleaned up five flower beds at this town park. (In the group photo, l-r: John Florian, Paula Sweeley and Garden Captain Charlie Lautier.) This is one of eight community gardens created and maintained by the Lordship Improvement Association. Charlie and John were a two-man team. I just stopped in for a visit. The place reeked of Clorox. Brave men.
