LORDSHIP FUN, SATURDAY, OCT 3 – ART IN THE PARK & THE APPLE FESTIVAL!
Two major annual events in Stratford’s Lordship section will showcase beautiful and creative arts and crafts next Saturday, October 3:
· ART IN THE PARK 2026, 10 am – 3 pm, Greg Ackley Memorial Park (the gazebo), and the
· 2026 APPLE FESTIVAL - VENDOR FAIR, 9 am – 3 pm, Lordship Community Church, 179 Prospect Drive
Food and music are also on tap. The events are within easy walking distance of each other, so you can plan a nice full day of it. And sun is currently in the forecast!
Of course, the LIA’s 2027 picturesque ‘LORDSHIP FOR ALL SEASONS’ calendar will be available at both events.
Here’s more about what you’ll enjoy …
ART IN THE PARK
More than two dozen exhibits will feature artists and craftspersons, including Bags for Paws (Stratford Animal Rescue Society), the LIA 2027 community calendar, and the Stratford Volunteer Fire Department’s 2026-2027 Lordship Phone & Business Directory.
Event organizer Pat Marqua notes that the Arts Alliance of Stratford will host a “creativity station,” and that there will be a table for the collection of non-perishable food for a local food pantry.
The booths will offer original fine paintings, prints, photographs, handmade jewelry, wreaths, sea glass and shell creations, handmade baskets and bags, uniquely designed Halloween clothing, pottery, blown glass, and quality food and drink mixes.
“Ty-East Tha ArtTist will do live painting,” Pat adds.
The Lordship Father’s Club is sponsoring two musical performances at the gazebo, as well. A jazz quartet of Stratford High School current and recently graduated students will perform from 10 to 11:30 am, followed by Larry Haddad and his quartet from noon to 3 pm.
