Hi! The memorial garden at Wayne's Walk - the popular sidewalk shortcut from Riverdale Drive to Short Beach - has been adopted by the Lordship Improvement Association (LIA) to maintain with seasonal plantings, weeding and watering. You may have noticed that the LIA has also renovated the garden by moving the memorial stone to the center and replacing border plantings. More flowers are coming in spring! The garden was originally lovingly created by the Wayne's Walk Foundation (which recently dissolved) in memory of Wayne Nicholas Lecardo, who was killed by a drunk driver in 2007. This garden is one of 7 parks and gardens maintained by the LIA (www.LordshipCT.org).
