LIA ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING IS JULY 15 – ALL LORDSHIP NEIGHBORS INVITED

The Lordship Improvement Association’s (LIA) Annual Membership Meeting will be held this Wednesday, July 15 from 7 to 9 pm at the Our Lady of Peace Church Hall (651 Stratford Road).
“All Lordship neighbors are invited to attend, to learn about current LIA projects and future plans, meet neighbors, ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about opportunities to get involved with the organization,” says LIA President Vickie Canevari.
The meeting will also feature an update of the Lordship Bluffs Restoration Project by LandTech Senior Environmental Analyst Anthony Zemba, LIA committee reports, and a vote by LIA member/donors on a slate of two members of the Board of Governors.
Through a coastal land trust, the LIA is steward of Stratford’s Lordship Bluffs and Russian Beach, and also sponsors educational events and projects, as well as maintaining eight community gardens. The organization is operated entirely by volunteers and supported by Lordship community donations (as members) and grants.

Looking forward to the meeting on Wednesday. I hope we can ask questions, listen, and get honest feedback. It’s important that that we make compromises to the majority, respect diplomacy and help neighbors to be on the same page about what is important to each of us now and in future. Change is inevitable but traditions are essential to our small community and the reason we all take care of our haven for our grandchildren and beyond.
