REMINDER – SATURDAY HORSESHOE ‘CRAB & TAG’ FUN AT SHORT BEACH

This Saturday is “International Horseshoe Crab Day,” when Stratford’s Conservation Commission is hosting an educational “Horseshoe Crab & Tag” event at Short Beach in Lordship, starting at 2 p.m. Meet at the snack bar.

It’s an afternoon of hands-on learning about these dinosaur-age creatures and tagging them so scientists can monitor their travels and population size.

Families are welcome, but the Commission notes that dogs are prohibited on both Short Beach and Long Beach.

LIA Board members will be pitching in, too, and happy to meet and chat with you.
